I'm Mohamed Gomaa, a backend engineer based in Cairo, Egypt. I'm interested in sharing what I learn and what I do to build scalable, maintainable, cost-optimized, and durable software in the backend.

I write about backend architecture, DevOps, and cloud — the experiences and lessons I pick up designing, shipping, and operating real systems. Currently, I'm building CloudCanvas, an agentic platform that helps you architect cloud infrastructure with an AI agent, and I'll be sharing my journey building the platform right here.
